Something about my life in Manchester
I couldn't imagine the weather was as cold as it is before I came here. As soon as I arrived, I got an allergic reaction; I had a headache, a runny nose and other uncomfortable symptoms. I know the condition won't stop until the weather gets warmer.
Last Sunday was a rare sunny day, you know, it usually rains in Manchester. My roommate and I decided to go to the city centre. After walking for a long time and taking some pictures, we felt very very tired. We went into a chain coffee shop because we though it would offer budget (reasonable) and nice coffee. A waiter asked me" Where are you from?" when I came in. Once I answered, he said" How are you?" in Chinese (ni hao ma?). I was very happy in spite of the bad coffee which was offered.
The funniest thing happened while I was drinking my coffee. While I was observing some pedestrians through the window, a girl was walking quickly and hugging an inflatable man along the street. We guessed she might have been on a hen night before getting married. I have uploaded to my album. (http://album.blog.yam.com/show.php?a=jteacher&f=5096567&i=4594732&p=45)
Living abroad is always interesting; I'll write more if I have time.
